Bush, as Profiteer in Chief Won’t Call for Conservation

You have to love despise a leader of a country that has their priorities straight on a their own personal front.  Taking care of the citizens of their country is a leader’s first and foremost mission, right?

A leader that feels that out of one side of his mouth he can drawl about protecting the citizens of his country from Terrarists and Mooslem bad guys, all the while making sure that war’s are fought to bring Democracy PROFIT to other countries to himself and his corporate whore cronies and being an all around bad ass while doing it?

Not our Profiteer in Chief!

In the United States of America, we have an leader that IS an ass and he is definately bad.  Once again, OUR President and Fearless Leader Profit Coordinator has opened his big mouth and out of it pours idocy and bullshit on a level never before seen in the history of our planet.

From Politico:

President Bush said Tuesday that he will not call on Americans to conserve gasoline despite the rising price of oil, saying consumers are “smart enough” to figure out for themselves that they should drive less.

Yeppers.  You read that correctly.  Our Commander in Chief, the head Cheerleader of America and Apple Pie has decided that he won’t ask Americans to conserve (perish the thought!) because they are smart enough to figure out when it is costing them too much to drive more.

JEEBUS on a hopped up pogo stick!  Is this idiot for real?

They’re smart enough to figure out whether they’re going to drive less or not. I mean, you know, it’s interesting what the price of gasoline has done,” Bush said at a news conference in the White House press room, “is it caused people to drive less. That’s why they want smaller cars: They want to conserve. But the consumer’s plenty bright. The marketplace works.”

“You noticed my statement yesterday, I talked about good conservation and – you know, people can figure out whether they need to drive more or less,” he said. “They can balance their own checkbooks.”

“It’s a little presumptuous on my part to dictate how consumers live their own lives,” the president added. “I’ve got faith in the American people.”

My emphasis

So, Bushie Boy sez that “GOOD” conservation is letting people spend more on his precious OIL, and when they balance that checkbook and no money is left, they will know that they can no longer afford to buy anymore of his lovely Texas Tea.

He also states that is is PRESUMPTIOUS of him to dictate how people send their hard earned money to his corporate cronies, because if they don’t, how can he make more profit, er, it’s not his place to tell them how to live their lives.

Unfucking real.  Seriously.

Bush was asked about an earlier news conference in which he said he had not heard of forecasts that gasoline could reach $4 a gallon, a mark that was soon eclipsed.

“I’ve heard of it now,” he quipped.

It’s a damned good thing we American’s have George W. Bush there to get our backs!  Or, maybe that should be “It’s a damned good thing we American’s have George W. Bush there to get our bucks!”

    “What a maroon.”

    But hey!  He’s OUR maroon…

    gag

  1. “the buck stops here”.

  2. Another billion for the super-rich, while the rest of us get the shaft.

Or should that be: Another day, another idiocy from King George?
