An investigation carried out by GuardianFilms for Channel 4 uncovers how thousands of Iraqis employed at $10 a day by the US to take on al-Qaida are threatening to go on strike because they say they have been used by the ‘Americans to do their dirty work’ and haven’t been paid.

Shiite Clashes Fray Truce

By ROBERT H. REID – 12 hours ago

BAGHDAD (AP) – Iraqi security forces battled Shiite gunmen south of Baghdad on Friday, raising tensions among rival factions of the country’s majority religious community and straining a seven-month cease-fire proclaimed by the biggest Shiite militia.

Also Friday, an American soldier was killed and four others were wounded in a rocket or mortar attack south of the capital, the military said. At least 3,993 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the war five years ago, according to an Associated Press count. The statement did not provide more details about the location; the area has a volatile mix of Sunni and Shiite extremists.

  1. This again should be a big story.

But I’m a going to tell you that one of the reasons it is not is because the people of America like the soldier who describes himself as “no longer being the montster I once was” are under a spell.

The American people are passive, often taken medication that mutes their emotional reaction. The soldiers often take medication and drugs as well.

The people of the United States are mystified. They are like children. Everything needs to be explained to them by someone in authority. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, FOX news are that authority.

And it completely effects these so called liberal blogs which have front pagers who are pro torture or CIA affiliated.

I’m not sure about this blog…but Daily Kos is a very conservative Pro War Blog. The people there will say they are not pro war….but they are interested in voting for Clinton or Obama and they are PRO WAR…They have voted to fund the war.

One of the problems people have is understanding that actions….voting to fund a war….are definitive.

Statements like “I will bring the troops home carefully” are meaningless and have no definition. There is no framework and it’s only a statement.

Obama, Clinton and McCain are PRO WAR.

    People need to understand that.
