oh, and about ‘thing 1’….the surgery was indeed quite successful, but we had more post-op issues than anticipated…spent an extra day in the hospital, then came home without a cast over the ‘hooks’ sticking out of her wrist, which are the ends of the pins they put in. yuck. i really wanted that cast on, but her poor fingers were just too swollen and purple. still not as gross as the hooks sticking out of her skin…but pretty close…
…so we’re off to the surgeon again today…and probably home from school an extra 3 or 4 days…which seriously cuts into my docudharma time…sorry ’bout that…
we’re pretty ok, though. no worries. im not loving setting an alarm every 3-4 hours to give pain meds….but it sure beats having your kid in pain, so its a net positive.. 😉
