Pony Party…. Love Songs

♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥

  Happy Valentines Day!!

♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥

Hello, my love

I heard a kiss from you

Like a fool, I fell in love with you,

Turned my whole world upside down

Changing my life with the wave of a hand

Nobody can~ deny that there’s something there

All you need is love

love is all you need

And all the nights magic seems to whisper and hush

And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush

Every now and then the things I lean on lose their meaning,

And I find myself careening

Try as I may I could never explain

What I hear when you don’t say a thing

And I trust in your love

Never fallin’ down…

It’s a love that lasts forever

It’s a love that had no past

You’re driving me mad…

You’re the best I ever had

Oh just to be with you

is having the best day of my life

And in the end the love you take

is equal to the love you make

Court and Spark… 19 and this album was the score to my first love affair but more speaks to the stranger who intruded into my life… and one i still wonder about

this needs to be followed by HELP ME…

in my favorite version. A reminder that, while poetry and passion often overstate beautifully, the real power lies in the simple stuff:

As a point for the non-romantic side wrt love, I used to dance my middle daughter to sleep to this when she was a baby. (Well, this and “King of the Road” and Harry Belafonte.)

one of the greatest in any language. The bewildered simplicity of the words (“how did it happen ?/ I don’t know how it happened/ but I fell in love with you”) the music (technically it’s son not mambo but seems like a late entry for last week), and the late and irreplaceable Ibrahim “God Herself Thinks I Own This Song” Ferrer:
