to say goodbye to fred thompson as he leaves the presidential race…
but, sadly, we also have to say a fond farewell to actor heath ledger, found dead in his ny apartment yesterday…
i didnt link a story because most of them are wildly speculative….the next ‘batman’ installment is in post, and heath played the joker, to much acclaim from those who’ve seen it.

admit the death of such a young, gifted artist hit me with sadness. The reason I enjoy looking at pictures of him is not so much that he’s beautiful, but that he’s beautifully free. You can see it in the way he moved and dressed. Brilliant and young, gifted and free, exactly what I want for everyone of his generation.
