May hopes and dreams deferred in 2007 come true for us in 2008.

In my youth, I wanted a piece and peace.  Got the great beautiful wife, still waiting for peace.  Hope everyone stays safe tonight–and next year we celebrate the WH.  Age has taught me not to expect peace, sadly, so all I ask for is that their’s no blood on our (U.S.) hands.

  1. and I pray that what ever is necessary for life to have peace to occur…….

the howl of terror and sorrow and pain is almost unbearable for me anymore……..

it was bad enough at 3 billion (in the 60’s)…..

at approaching 7 billion I have lost all hope for us…..

so I pray for hope also…..

    You do amazing work!

Peace.  That ultimate goal that everyone says they are working for.  Seems like if everyone really wanted it, we would have it.  May the true yearners for peace get into positions of power.  Then we will truely be on the road to peace.

    Happy New Year Everyone.

It seems to me everyone wants peace in their lives, and indeed we do…we just need to convince the powers that be that our world CAN move forward peacefully, without war, without poverty, without fear.

My life is peaceful, I try to spread it around….

Happy New Year to you, T, may it bring you good health and fortune!

  2. That is really cool.  Great use of the magic eyes!

Technical question – how did you get the “Peace 2008” text filled in like that?   I really like the effect and how you used it to outline the dove/eyes.

    Happy New Year!

  3. War has never solved anything, other than to give the rich more to bank on.

Greed and maniacal notions has always been at the forefront of war.  You would think that by now people the world over would see the symptoms and recognize them quickly, so as to expose and expel such people rapidly from power positions.  But, as you can see, a perfect example has just been set before us and has been a laissez faire condition for the most part.

Happy New Year to you and all of us and I join you and all in our hopes for PEACE!
