I Suck Too!

I have a tendency to think others efforts are pointless until I discover otherwise. I have a tendency to try and help people that do not think they need help. My typing sucks. I don’t always research important stories before posting them.  I don’t like being on stage but love being backstage. Since I’ve been away traffic has increased…. :\

In addition to my occasional successes online I’ve started a number of websites that went nowhere fast.  If left to work alone, I will quickly tire of the task.  If working with a group I will tend to have personality conflicts.  So yes…I suck too.

Now, what to do.  I don’t know if I have anything left to offer the site.  I actually think you are doing fine, left to your own devices, and will climb to the top of the blogosphere sooner rather than later.

Over the past few days I built this.  It was fun, but now the owner and I aren’t seeing eye to eye.  Surprised?!  (update: our differences are being resolved now)

Anyway, I’m available to build things for people that want to change the world.  I can do it, maybe not as good as others, maybe not as fast as some, but I’ll do it for free.

Have a domain name?  Need someone to build your progressive project?  Want a different way to display your blog?  Let me know.

  1. 🙂

  2. Isn’t it fun? I am a terrible housekeeper, I like my job but I frequently forget to finish paper work in a timely manner, I frequently open wide before thinking what I am actually trying to say, I fell off the wagon with exercise and I recently bought lot of cheap cat litter and found out why it was cheap.

  3. I’m a bit confused why you think you might not have anything left to offer the site.  Perhaps you’re requiring perfection of yourself rather than your, already established, humanity?

(Which, by its nature, will never be perfect and which is as it should be).

Here’s my suggestion, fwiw:  Don’t be so hard on yourself — to be human is to be imperfect, even in the quest for perfection —  and stick around here where your contribution is appreciated and where you, along with the rest of us, will continue to grow in each of our imperfect ways over time.

    */:-D

  4. Here’s the things I suck at (at least the one’s I’m willing to admit to):

    housework

    gardening

    “fixing” things

    patience

    details

    being funny

There’s more, but I’ll have to think about it for awhile.

I’m not trying to be flippant nlob. Its just that we all suck – sometimes. And we’re all amazingly wonderful too.

If YOU suck, I’m feeling like an utterly worthless piece of shit……….

  5. A very nice offer to help folks out, albeit the various self image advisories may not be what you were looking for, exactly.

The sancho site looks great btw.

    Whose up for a Suck-Off???

  6. Even my resume is world-class when it comes to sucking — with two of the all-time worst jobs in the world. One, probation officer (adults, felonies, lawyers — need I say more?) and two, movie copywriter. Actually the second one was worse. Unless you enjoy staying up all night trying to think of another way to say “Buy It Today on DVD!”

So don’t go away, nlob! You’re contributing way more than you’re giving yourself credit for.
