5 million pepperoni pizzas recalled (updated)

General Mills has announced they are recalling ~5 million frozen pizza products due to possible E. coli contamination. Also, information has surfaced through congressional testimony that the FDA is not inspecting ~two-thirds of drugs from foreign manufacturers.

See this link for the recall list and further information.

If you can’t trust your frozen pepperoni, who can you trust?

Here’s an idea:  Don’t eat it!  It’s processed, which means it would be unhealthy even if it were healthy (see newest cancer warning).  It requires transport of goods, adding to the carbon footprint.  It likely comes from factory farming, which is, excuse the vulgarity, farting it’s way to global warming…

You get the picture.

The Environmentalist has a list of the recalled items.  Apparently they’re the best selling pizzas on the market, so, if you do eat that sort of thing or know anyone who does, might want to take down the product numbers.

And then go veg.

actual drugs or shipments (unless it’s logs and procedures)

i thought FDA was supposed to inspect data about drugs, although i DO think they inspect, onsite, drug companies, manufacturing sites, and clinical trial sites et al for QA/QC, logs et al and they, i thin, make sure no conflict of interest…
