Republicans attack a 12-year-old

The Frost family v. BushCo:  a modern day David and Goliath story????

This is a story of a Republican movement totally detached from even trying to deceive us anymore. They are hateful.

I suggest reading the Baltimore Sun story first, and then read Kos’s great compilation of reactions.

let them die first before having the gov’t pay for their care is the comment of one of our fellow human beings

and we wonder why Bush can get away with torture and how people can so easily turn their backs on the slaughter of millions around the globe

    what the fuck

  1. Alas, fine lass, whatever happened to my comment in your original version of this diary?

    Anyhoo…to repeat…now tired and grumpy…yadda yadda yadda…

    Bastards!

  2. nobody’s kids are off the table.  Some things that have happened have changed my daughter’s personality too.  Sadly she sees peace activists as looney tunes who will take shots at whoever whenever too as long as it suits their political game and agenda.

I think I’ll go puke now.

    Subhumans…

  3. i am in NO WAY ‘blaming the victim’ in this case…i feel the kid had EVERY RIGHT to do as he did, and is more qualified to talk about the effects of CHIP than any congressperson who hasnt ever had to actually use the program….from the perspective he did, anyway…

i do, however, have concern that this is how ‘we’…the big ‘we’…chose to present ‘our’ case here.

and i feel really horribly that he may blame himself for a lot of the aftermath of his speech.  that, combined with his picture being on tv every half hour for…what? 2 days now?…could make his life difficult for a while.  that sucks.  that’s NOT his fault, but i have a hard time feeling like he could have understood this consequence and made an informed decision to speak as he did.

i hope i’m wrong.  i hope he accepted the challenge and i hope he has the emotional fortitude to ride this out.  but i fear for him.
