REM: “Until the Day is Done” debuts. I cry.

This song, Until the Day is Done, and video left us with tears in our oatmeal this morning. REM fans will understand that the emotions brought to the surface by this amazing group are sincerely felt themselves. Michael Stipe is interviewed right after the video and it’s worth listening especially for his media savvy commentary. I hope CNN breaks viewership records with what looks like a ground-breaking series.

Watch. Listen. Feel. Act.

    Michaels voice conveys such emotion.
Thanks for posting this.  I’m on my way out now, so I’ll have to wait to watch the video, but I’m sure its good.

  1. when they keep refusing to become too young for me.  So I buy another REM CD and I’m almost grandma 😉

that alone sells me.  He’s by far my favorite nature show person, and hopefully this will get him greater exposure and a whole new crop of viewers.

The REM song didn’t do much for me, though.  I love Stipe’s voice, but I found the song a little … unmemorable.  Just my opinion!

No one’s talking over it, either.

  2. I hope he is doing well out there on the farm.
