Which, after a week of disgusting anti-Americanism in Washington [there was a big anti-war protest, and I guess, uhm, Congress performed its duties], nicely summed up our feelings.

it’s easier to sheepishly take a step off the bandwagon now that public opinion holds this whole debacle in increasing disfavor.
it’s a lot harder both to be correct in predicting the ensured clusterfuckitude at the outset (see, that would require an awareness of the complexities, and the capacity for thinking needed to draw inferences); and way WAY harder to be vocal about it at the outset, only to suffer the cromagnon hectoring of the likes of toby keith for stepping forward in candor.
