today with my feet dangling in the pool, sipping one of the heavenly brews, watching the Gators demolish the Tennessee Volunteers [52-20]…. a beautiful day, about 90 degrees, bright sunshine, with not a golfer in sight…. that beautiful Florida sunshine ablaze.
A thought on reincarnation: If ever I have the opportunity for a second life, I want it to be as a dermatologist, a dermatologist with my Practice located in Florida. It is not that I am so much interested in doctoring as it is the opportunity to make so much money with such a simple task. Some of you may know the task to which I refer …freezing-off suspected non-cancerous lesions.
Having recently returned from my semi-yearly body/skin inspection I bear witness to the lucrative trade of lesion removal. If you have never experienced this ritual, it is accomplished by your skin doctor pointing a spray can (similar to an aerosol of paint, hairspray, etc.) containing some liquefied and pressurized gas (hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, or other gas) at a suspect blemish on your body and depressing the applicator button. A quick squirt and presto, the blemish is atomized.
In my last trip, I was the recipient of ten such applications. Here in Florida, each emission entails a twenty-five dollar charge…. ten squirts, $250.00 is transferred from my account to the good doctor’s. Since I am freckled about my body, I must be vigilant to ensure that I don’t get one (or several) of the thousands of the little pigmentations turned into a $25.00X medical treatment fee. That little can is a money tree. Consequently, my lust for reincarnation as a skin doctor.
If my wish is granted, I’ll limit myself to just the blemish removal by freezing procedure…. and of course a second lifetime.
