Watching this great country being slowly crushed into a third-world plutocracy by the greedy and powerful is probably the most infuriating event in my life. Good people are being impoverished while bad people buy our government.
What makes it worse is seeing both of the political parties compete in demonstrating their sycophancy to Wall Street money. It makes elections virtually meaningless.
It’s enough to make a person surrender to despair.
But then I remember something important – the money that Wall Street uses to buy our government is our money. The power that Wall Street wields only exists because the people allow it.
All power originates from the people and we can take it back as easily as it was stolen from us. We can do it without firing a shot or shedding any blood.
The example for how to it is about to be set in Europe.

FOX and TEA Speakers Don’t Get Paid Much??
I posted the following in an open thread, over at KOS, last night, it’s a local report about another hypocritical grifter trying, apparently, to get on that gravy train of the rush, beck, palin types. He’s either not succeeding or he’s lyin, which would be typical and going along with the grifter con, hitting the easy marks and reaping that wealth.
I’ll add a few more lines to what I posted, why?, well it’s still getting local play, caught it this morning, and this guy apparently needs more press exposure. My duty to help him out so he can make more ‘grifting’.

For the first time in the history of the Nobel Peace Prize the award may not be handed out this year after a strenuous campaign by the Chinese government to stop one of its citizens, the jailed human rights campaigner Liu Xiaobo, receiving the honour.Under Nobel Prize rules, the 10 million kronor (£880,000) award can only be collected by the laureate or a close family member.
The government in Beijing placed Mr Liu’s wife under house arrest as soon as the award was announced last month and his two brothers are under surveillance.

Remembering Our Dead
The people listed inside have three things in common…and maybe more. First of all, they are all dead and have died since last November 20. Secondly, they are all transwomen. Thirdly, they died as a result of nothing more than intense hatred. One only needs to survey the causes of death to verify that. In many cases, the rage that the murderer must have had is evident in the number of stab wounds, the dismemberment or other mutilation evident on the bodies, or the execution that clearly had taken place (please note how many had been shot in the head).
I provide this list, cribbed from this site, not to be a downer…though it sure brings me down…but to honor their lives and the courage it took to live them.
Tomorrow is Transgender Day of Remembrance. We will not forget.

Origins Of The Native American Flute
The clear origins of the Native American Flute date back several thousand millennia to flutes made of bone, to petroglyphs, and oral history. Unclear “origins” involve the Spanish Conquest insofar as the Spanish stealing the bamboo flute from Asia, and then introducing it to the Five Civilized Tribes. A Cheyenne Flute Maker relayed this to me. The idea goes, that the bamboo flute was made out of river cane by the Five Civilized Tribes after the Spanish “brought” the bamboo flute to the “New World.” Subsequently, river cane flutes then proceeded to be constructed out of cedar wood by the Plains Tribes; hence, its origins within this idea being called Asian – Spanish. However, the Cheyenne Flute Maker said that the tribes already possessed the flute prior to the invasion, and the Spanish may have introduced it to a few. That raises some questions, but the ultimate answer we shall see is one of mystery.
