Some shameless fund raising. Okay begging

Good morning;I know this isnt exactly the place for this but I can’t think of a better group of people to ask.  Yep I need some donations.

I’ve joined the largest endurance sports fund raising charity in the world Team In Training, I’m signed up for the New Jersey Marathon on May 2nd 2010 and I need to raise at least $2,100

Follow me below the fold.

I’m what an aunt of mine calls a cave dweller, I don’t get out much and I’m what one could call a loaner.  Thats okay most of the time, I’m a wall flower by nature plus I don’t drive due to Retinitis Pigmentosa (I’m legally blind)so my universe is pretty small.. Anyway of late my curmudgeonly cave dwelling lifestyle has gotten a bit over baring even for me so I started running.  I also started seeing t-shirts for and hearing about Team In Training.

Team In Training trains, transports, feeds, provides accommodations and generally supports volunteer athletes who participate in distance events like marathons, half marathons, tri’s, century rides (100 mile bike rides) and a bunch of other events all over the states.  In return for this support the athletes must raise donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, participants in Team events and act as what I would call ambassadors for the Team. According to LLS and our staff liaison Team in Training has raised nearly 1 billion dollars in the past 20 years.  In short its a great program.  We, they, raise large amounts of money to support patients, fund research and raise awareness, separately Team In Training provides a camaraderie of great genrous people which in my case is huge.

Please help, visit my fund raising page and donate what you can afford to or how about joining us and volunteering  yourself.
