MoveOn.org and Tea Parties coming together??

(Will be cross-posted at OpenLeft and thomhartmann.com)

Is it realistic to think that two groups such as MoveOn.org and Freedom Works, the lead catalyst and organizer of the Tea Party/9-12 movement could possibly find common ground? Given the institutional and financial pressures inherent in the two-party system it will be very difficult for these groups to actually work togther publicly, but recently two of their leaders met on a “transpartisan panel” at the Engaging the Other Conference. Their was a remarkably civil dialogue and all present were inspired that if the unthinkable cooperation were possible, the red-blue game may begin to shift in dramatic ways. Here’s a 7 min. video that gives a flavor of the very hopeful conversations…

Link is from Transpartisan Alliance.

Not sure I trust MoveOn all that much, but I certainly like the ‘let’s talk about this, postively, and try and get a handle on what a compromise would look like’ ethos, though.

    Here it is:

  1. Suggested this about a year ago I think.  I would hope this is the beginning of a mainstream movement which has to include the globalist organizations Bilderberg, the CFR, Trilateral Commission and countless others.  We can not be America centric anymore or none of these will gain meaningful relevance.  Yeah, Alex Jones has to be in the mix somewhere.

so I’m open to other ideas.  For certain, my money, time and vote are not going to Democrats.

When I talk to right-wingers these days, they have a lot in common with us, i.e. they recognize that we’re all being screwed over by those in power.

They of course blame Obama being a “socialist” and all of that, but the end result is really the same as ours.

If we were to all gang up, this would SCARE THE LIVING BEJESUS out of the powers that be.

They’ve put SO much work into the “divide and conquer” thing, if it blew up in their faces, that would be such poetic justice.
