Class War 101: We need a new progressive tax system

It is time to set the top tax bracket above $1,000,000

As you can see in the graph below, many people live in poverty compared to the few wealthy. Mind you, this graph does not include the Capitalist class of the top 2%

This next graph shows how income has grown by percentiles over the last few years. Notice anything?

That’s right. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

If this is your first time, welcome to Class War 101

Anyone with sense can tell that we can not pretend that the American dream is to be a $250,000aire. The dream is to own your own home, to have a family, to have health care when you need it and a retirement and education for our children.

The way things are going, that will not happen anytime soon.

40 + years of supply side trickle down free market economics have devastated states and federal budgets. It is time to face the facts. We need a progressive taxation system that adequately taxes the millionaires whose wealth would not be possible without America.

After living high on the hog for so long, the rich can not plead poverty

It is time to get something back.

Spinning Torture: More Details on Mitchell-Jessen-CIA-FBI Torture Imbroglio

Joby Warrick and Peter Finn have a new article in Sunday's Washington Post. The story summarizes some of the competing narratives offered by different participants in the interrogation of alleged Al Qaeda terrorist, Abu Zubaida. (AZ was later admitted to not be an Al Qaeda member by various intelligence agency spokesmen.)

The entire article deserves close reading, the kind reserved for tea leaves, for through the varying narrative threads one can discern attempts by the differing agencies and actors involved to present their actions in the best possible light. In the end, no one comes out looking very good. The article reads like a summary of an internal dispute among gangsters.

GOP Irrelevant – Dem’s Committing Suicide

Why are people worried about Republican obstructionism in Congress?  Why are they even worried about what hissy the GOP is throwing over the latest faux-issue of the week?  There is one thing people of every political stripe should know by now — the GOP is irrelevant.

The Democratic Party has enough votes in the Senate AND House to pass ANY piece of legislation it wants.  That is, it could, if they weren’t so busy cutting their own throats.

Essential Keywords

A really simple diary.  Search or not search.  Do what you will and I do know and am aware that some of my sources might be considered as “righttard” oriented.  In a proactive answer to that did you get the “change” promised after Barry Soetoro was selected?  I know it’s nasty and highly un-Orange like but just look around and take in what is going on.  It is indeed going to “change”.  Before it does though the plan is to spend yet another spiritual cleansing session deep in the woods of Maine.
