My Vote: Neither one of them (D).

So…I woke up early, made some coffee, and got dressed and walked down to my polling place.  I live in Indiana.

Once I got to the polling place (I was listening to the Internationale as I walked to town hall), I showed my driver’s license and got signed up.  I was taken to the computerized voting machine (yep, no paper ballots available) and asked where the write-in button was.  I asked, because they had brochures laid out where it showed that the machine had a write-in function.

It turns out that in the Democratic Primary in Indiana the only write-ins allowed are declared write-ins.   Think about that for a second.  It defeats the purpose.

So the choice was between Obama and Clinton.  Needless to say, I didn’t vote for either one, since I don’t want either one to be nominee.  I did vote for Jill Long Thompson for governor.

Needless to say, I’m horribly disappointed in the Indiana Democratic Party for not having a write-in ballot when there’s a function to do so on the machine.
