While Wall St is still assaulting Main St, we are still fighting two unwinnable Wars of Empire, while the Insurance Company and Banking and MIC lobbyists still run the government and where you can admit torturing people on live TV and then retire to give motivational speeches, open shopping malls, and send your daughter out to bash the president for not keeping us safe after the worst...and ONLY....terrorist attack on US soil occurred on your watch, and never eve have to worry about being held accountable for being a war criminal....because apparently the only sin worst than being a war criminal is....Looking Backwards.
If that was not the Change you had in mind, if you wanted, dare I say, something a bit more ...substantively Changy ....than watching the Insurance Companies still writing our health care bills, the Banking industry writing the financial reform bills, the Military Industrial Complex STILL writing our Foreign Policy, and the Dead Jerry Falwell still writing our policy on gays in the military and marriage.....

Maybe if we all push REAL hard we can kickstart this puppy and get it back up, running, and back in gear.
Because as a whole new generation is just finding out, without the Left to push the Middle....the Middle won't do jack shit for anyone who isn't already in power. The Center serves the status quo, always has, always will. And if you haven't noticed, the status quo SUCKS. And it ain't getting any better under a new President who seems set far more on Settling For rather than Changing that status quo....even though he promised to REALLY hard, when he wanted to get elected to Power.
The Center serves the status quo, and Power only serves the Powerful and so here we are, in the death Spiral of the Middle Class.
And STILL all we get is platitudes, assurances and pats on the head from the party that is supposed to serve us....as it holds out its hands and demands more money so that it can continue its Eternal Quest for that 101st vote. Just you see what they do when they get THAT though!
Its time to PUSH, people. It is time to come together and unite and PUSH Obama, PUSH Harry Reid and PUSH Rahm and Steny to do...if not the Right Thing...at least PUSH them to stop doing the WRONG thing over and over and over...
Being Better Than Bush just ain't gonna cut it guys.
You are going to have to actually DO something. Or The People won't just be abandoning the Center of the Democratic Party in disgust as they are now, they will be leaving the entire Political Process.
And yes.....the DOES mean that we will get another Republican in the White House.
But NO it does NOT mean that that is our fault, the voters fault, The Left's fault.
It is YOUR fault, Barack, and yours Harry, and yours Rahm.
We gave you everything you asked for.... the WH and majorities in both Houses. And you have proven AGAIN that you don't know what to do with it.
And you are AGAIN pissing it away.
You are losing, and you are losing us.
So don't blame US when you lose the election, too.
It is on YOU to produce results.
You TOO have nothing to lose but the chains of your own cowardice and spineless caving to THE weakest opposition party that has ever existed.
So you guys just keep going down that "safe" center lane if you want.
We will be over here on the Left when you finally realize that it just doesn't work.
Maybe then we can all work together for some REAL change to the system that is screwing us all.
Come on over folks, and lets start working TOGETHER to hold some feet to the fire, kick some ass, and turn HOPE into reality.
